Well, please look first in the Admin Help section under "Setting up SSL on a Domino server". In short, you have to create the Certsrv.NSF database, from template "Server Certificate Admin". There you have the function "Create Key Ring with self certified certificate" to Test the SSL functionality without to pay for an Global Id.
